ACTL6B (Actin-like 6B), also known as BAF53B, is a subunit of the neuron-specific BAF (Brg1/Brm-associated factor) chromatin remodeling complex, which regulates gene expression by modifying chromatin structure. As a member of the actin-related protein (Arp) family, ACTL6B shares structural homology with β-actin but lacks filament-forming activity.
