ROBO3. a member of the Roundabout (Robo) receptor family, plays a critical role in axon guidance and neural circuit formation during embryonic development. It functions within the Slit-Robo signaling pathway, mediating repulsive cues that direct axon growth across anatomical midlines, particularly in the nervous system. Unlike other Robo proteins (ROBO1/2), ROBO3 exhibits unique expression patterns and regulatory mechanisms.
