LYVE-1 (Lymphatic Vessel Endothelial Hyaluronan Receptor 1) is a transmembrane glycoprotein primarily expressed on lymphatic endothelial cells, serving as a key marker for distinguishing lymphatic vessels from blood vessels. It belongs to the CD44 hyaluronan receptor family and binds hyaluronan, a glycosaminoglycan involved in cell adhesion, migration, and tissue remodeling.
