The INTS11 antibody targets the Integrator Complex Subunit 11 (INTS11), a critical component of the Integrator complex, a multi-protein assembly associated with RNA polymerase II (Pol II). The Integrator complex plays diverse roles in RNA processing, including the 3' end cleavage of small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs) and regulatory RNAs, as well as transcriptional elongation and termination of certain protein-coding genes. INTS11. also known as CPSF3L, is a metallo-β-lactamase family protein with endonuclease activity, directly participating in RNA cleavage events.
Studies suggest INTS11 is essential for snRNA biogenesis, mediating the precise processing of precursor transcripts. Dysregulation of INTS11 or the Integrator complex has been linked to developmental defects, neurological disorders, and cancers, highlighting its biological significance. The INTS11 antibody is widely used in research to investigate the complex's molecular mechanisms, including its role in transcription regulation, RNA maturation, and disease pathways. It enables detection of INTS11 expression, localization, and interactions via techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP). Recent work also explores its potential as a therapeutic target, particularly in malignancies with Integrator complex aberrations.
