ENSA (Endosulfine Alpha) is a highly conserved, ubiquitously expressed protein encoded by the *ENSA* gene. It plays a dual role in cellular regulation, primarily through its interaction with Protein Phosphatase 2A (PP2A), a key enzyme in signal transduction. ENSA binds and inhibits PP2A activity, modulating processes like cell cycle progression, insulin secretion, and cardiac ion channel function.
