Aldehyde dehydrogenase 3 family member B2 (ALDH3B2) is a member of the aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) superfamily, enzymes critical for detoxifying endogenous and exogenous aldehydes through their oxidation to carboxylic acids. Encoded by the *ALDH3B2* gene located on human chromosome 11. this cytoplasmic protein shares structural homology with other ALDH family members, including a conserved NAD(P)+-binding domain and catalytic residues.
