Recombinant human ARTS1 (ADAMTS18) protein is a member of the ADAMTS (A Disintegrin and Metalloproteinase with Thrombospondin Motifs) family, which comprises extracellular proteases involved in tissue remodeling, inflammation, and angiogenesis. ARTS1. encoded by the ADAMTS18 gene, contains a conserved modular structure including a propeptide, metalloproteinase, disintegrin-like, and thrombospondin type-1 domains. It plays a role in hydrolyzing extracellular matrix (ECM) components and regulating cellular interactions through proteolytic processing of substrates like aggrecan, versican, and growth factors.
