**Recombinant Human MRPS10 Protein: Background**

Mitochondrial Ribosomal Protein S10 (MRPS10) is a key component of the small subunit of the mitochondrial ribosome, essential for mitochondrial protein synthesis. Mitochondria, the energy-producing organelles, rely on their own translational machinery to synthesize proteins encoded by mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA), particularly subunits of the electron transport chain complexes crucial for oxidative phosphorylation.
