The AIM2 (Absent in Melanoma 2) antibody is a research tool used to study the AIM2 protein, a cytosolic DNA sensor critical in innate immunity. AIM2 belongs to the PYHIN protein family and contains a HIN200 domain for double-stranded DNA binding and a Pyrin domain for inflammasome assembly.
