The FUNDC2 (FUN14 domain-containing 2) antibody is a tool used to detect and study the FUNDC2 protein, a mitochondrial outer membrane protein implicated in cellular stress responses and mitochondrial quality control. First identified in 2008. FUNDC2 contains a conserved FUN14 domain and is structurally related to FUNDC1. a known regulator of hypoxia-induced mitophagy. Unlike FUNDC1. however, FUNDC2’s precise molecular mechanisms remain less defined. Studies suggest it may interact with mitochondrial proteins like MFN2 and participate in mitochondrial dynamics, apoptosis, or metabolic regulation.
