背景信息

The COPS6 antibody is a research tool targeting the COP9 signalosome subunit 6 (COPS6), also known as CSN6. a component of the evolutionarily conserved COP9 signalosome (CSN) complex. The CSN complex, comprising eight subunits (CSN1–CSN8), regulates ubiquitin-proteasome-mediated protein degradation by modulating cullin-RING ubiquitin ligases (CRLs) through deneddylation. COPS6 plays a critical role in maintaining the structural integrity of the CSN complex and fine-tuning substrate specificity during protein turnover. It is implicated in diverse cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, DNA damage response, and apoptosis. Dysregulation of COPS6 has been linked to cancer, where its overexpression promotes tumorigenesis by stabilizing oncoproteins or destabilizing tumor suppressors.
