ARHGAP25 (Rho GTPase-activating protein 25) is a member of the RhoGAP family that regulates Rho GTPases, key molecular switches controlling cytoskeletal dynamics, cell migration, and signaling pathways. Encoded by the ARHGAP25 gene on chromosome 10q11.21 in humans, it contains a conserved N-terminal RhoGAP domain and a C-terminal PH domain, enabling interactions with membrane phospholipids or signaling proteins. Functionally, ARHGAP25 accelerates GTP hydrolysis in Rac1 and Cdc42 GTPases, transitioning them to an inactive GDP-bound state, thereby modulating actin remodeling, cell polarity, and motility.
