The Estrogen-Related Receptor Alpha (ESRRA), also known as ERRα, is a nuclear receptor transcription factor belonging to the NR3B subfamily. Unlike classical estrogen receptors, ESRRA does not bind estrogen but shares structural homology, regulating gene expression by binding to estrogen response elements (EREs) or ERR-specific response elements (ERREs).
