The PFDN1 antibody is a research tool designed to detect and study the Prefoldin subunit 1 (PFDN1), a component of the prefoldin chaperone complex. This hexameric complex, composed of six subunits (PFDN1-6), plays a critical role in protein folding by stabilizing nascent polypeptides and delivering them to the cytosolic chaperonin TCP-1 ring complex (TRiC) for proper folding.
