背景信息

The AFF2 antibody is a research tool targeting the AFF2 protein (AF4/FMR2 family member 2), also known as FMR2. AFF2 is a member of the AFF family of nuclear transcriptional regulators, which play roles in transcriptional elongation, chromatin remodeling, and RNA-binding processes. The AFF2 gene is located on the X chromosome (Xq28) and is associated with neurodevelopmental disorders. Mutations or epigenetic silencing of AFF2 are linked to FRAXE intellectual disability, a rare X-linked syndrome characterized by cognitive impairment, behavioral challenges, and speech delays. FRAXE is distinct from Fragile X syndrome (FMR1-related) but shares overlapping clinical features.
